In honor of the upcoming Veterans Day, Profinium is proud to announce its participation in Operation Green Light for Veterans, a nationwide initiative designed to show visible support for military veterans. From November 4-11, Profinium’s branches will be illuminated green, standing in solidarity with veterans in our communities. The program, spearheaded by the National Association of Counties (NACo) and the National Association of County Veterans Service Officers, encourages both county governments and residents to show their support by lighting up their buildings and homes green during this week.

This initiative holds personal significance for Profinium’s Mortgage Team, who learned of Operation Green Light through conversations with the Freeborn County Veteran Service Officer while exploring ways to offer VA loan options to local veterans. After understanding the profound impact of this initiative, the team felt it essential to help bring this effort to local communities.

In addition to illuminating its branches, Profinium will be distributing green light bulbs to customers and the public. The bulbs will be available at all four branches, and donations are welcomed. These donations will be directed to Beyond the Yellow Ribbon. In the past, these contributions have provided meals for veteran families during Thanksgiving, underscoring the lasting impact of even small gestures of gratitude.

“Through Operation Green Light, we hope to spark conversations and raise awareness about the unique challenges veterans face,” said Jannell Tufte, Mortgage Loan Officer at Profinium. “We believe in giving back to those who’ve served our country, and this initiative is an important reminder that our veterans are seen, appreciated, and supported not only on Veterans Day but every day.”

Residents, businesses, and organizations are encouraged to join the initiative by simply changing one light bulb—inside or outside their home or business—to green. By doing so, we show our veterans that they are valued and open up dialogue around the support and services available to them.

"Operation Green Light is a gesture of support and appreciation for the public service of our veterans,” said NACo Executive Director Matthew Chase. “With hundreds of counties coming together to light everything from bridges to courthouses, we know veterans across the country will see and feel the gratitude we all hold for their service and sacrifices."
